SOSOUP’S ON! at St. Paul’s UCC – We’ve reached our 201st sale and Bob Bullock is the winner of our special prize. Now that we are in the “black”, please continue to purchase our cookbooks ($20 each) on Sunday or by calling Kris in the church office. There is the potential for an additional $6000 to be made as a fundraiser for the church’s operating budget when all the cookbooks are sold.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY DINNER – All prayer shawl members are invited to Lucy Brady’s home for our annual dinner. Bring prayer shawls and stories. (Monday, September 27 @ 5:30p.m.)
 
PAINTING OPPORTUNITY: In anticipation of limited classroom space, due to upcoming construction, volunteers are painting and refurbishing the large Sunday School room below Fellowship Hall. If you would like to paint or give a donation toward the paint or window blinds, speak to Lucy Brady.

 

LOOKING AHEAD:

·         WORSHIP IN THE PARK: Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 9:30a.m. with the Westminster Church of the Brethren. (Belle Grove Square). Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the service. Some chairs will be available if you forget to bring one. If you have questions, call Carroll or Waltraut Staggs at 410-848-9670 or the church office.

·         WELCOME BACK MARTY! – Sunday, September 12. We will worship at 9:30a.m. and following worship we will have a church picnic to celebrate Marty’s return from his sabbatical and the beginning of another church year.Plan to attend for worship and then food, music, face painting, and music by Standard Delivery.
 
Of course we need your help!! Sign up in the lounge to help with food, set up, games, face painting, clean up, or the cake walk.
 
·         FALL SCHEDULE begins on Sunday, September 19 with worship at 8:30 and 10:45 with Christian Education for all ages at 9:30a.m. Nursery care will be available all morning.
·         CONGREGATIONAL MEETING, Sunday, September 26. More details will follow.
  • SAVE THE DATE! ADVENT WORKSHOP is November 28 immediately following the 10:30 worship service. It's not too early to plan to attend, volunteer to lead a station, or gather items needed to decorate the church for the Advent season. PLEASE SAVE all small Baugher's fruit baskets and bring them to church for the fruit baskets we decorate and fill for our shut-ins. You can leave them in the kitchen.
